Day Camp
Experience all the fun of camp during the day, and return home each evening. Have too much fun and don’t want to leave? Stay for the optional overnight offered on Thursday nights each week.
Day camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with morning drop off from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and evening pick up from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Registration Tips:

Before Feb. 12: Test your login to the myGS platform.
Ensure you know your password, your camper is registered for the 2025-2026 membership year, etc., to save time when logging in to myGS. Contact Customer Care if you are having myGS issues. - After clicking the registration link, you’ll be placed in a digital queue, a virtual line. This manages the number of people registering simultaneously to avoid system overload or camp overbookings.
- You’ll see your place in line count down as others complete their orders.
- The line moves fairly quickly—stay on the page and don’t refresh to keep your spot.
- The queue can’t be skipped or bypassed, even by GSWO staff.
- Be a sister to every Girl Scout. When you sign up for only the sessions you need, you allow another camper to make magic and memories alongside you!
- Once you have registered and paid at least the $75 deposit, you can request financial assistance or use Digital Dough to help cover the cost.

Helpful Tips:
- Use Google Chrome. Complete your registration on a laptop, desktop, or tablet if possible. If you’re registering on your phone, check the app you use, as many default to other web browsers.
- Log out and log back in. If you’re having issues, logging out of myGS and logging back in will refresh the system.

There is an optional overnight add-on for each day camp week for Butterworth. They are separate events to purchase along with your camp week. The cost is $60, which must be paid at the time of registration in addition to the $75 deposit for the camp session. Be sure that the week of your overnight matches the week of your camp session.
- We are unable to make changes to the t-shirt size after registration. If the wrong size is selected, you will need to consider changing the size at camp.
- Register for one week of camp at a time. You need to complete each week’s registration separately if registering for multiple weeks. Otherwise, the system will error and require you to back out of your current page and reselect your previous sessions.
- Only complete the waitlist form for day camp once your preferred session is full. This will put you on the list to be notified if spaces open up for your preferred session.
- Search using the 45039 zip code for Camp Butterworth on myGS.
- Contact Customer Care if you’re unable to register.

Fairy Trail Adventure (Week 1)

This week is all about fairies! Go on a fairy hunt with friends, make a special fairy door to take home, and learn all about magic fizzing potions. Campers will work on their Friendly and Helpful Petal while also enjoying classic camp activities like creeking, swimming, and gaga ball!

Solar Slime (Week 1)

Get ready for a SLIMY space adventure! This week we’re blasting off into a galaxy of fun. Help create your very own pocket Solar System, slime-ify the Moon, transform a constellation, and party like an astronaut! Campers will earn their Space Science Adventurer Badge while mixing in some classic camp fun, slime, and giggles!

Into the Wild (Week 1)

We’re not lion, this is the best week ever! Discover things about wild animals, make a habitat collage, and construct your very own animal house. Campers will work on their Animal Habitats Badge while also enjoying the pool, hiking various trails, and trying their hand at the archery range.

Let’s chalk about camp this week! Your group will get to choose many of your activities throughout the week — note how the outdoors changes from day-to-day, make nature are out of clay, write a poem about nature, and be a nature photographer! Campers will work towards the Outdoor Art Apprentice Badge while also choosing some classic camp activities to do.

Camp Your Way: Food Edition (Week 1)

Work with your group to choose your own food adventures this week. Make sweat treats or a full English Breakfast, throw some hatchets or hike to the creek, your time at camp is yours to choose. It’s up to you and your group to decide – there are so many possibilities! Create your camp experience based on what you choose to do! Plus, you and your group will get to head off camp one day and tour Findlay Market while getting a couple treats along the way!

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) I (Week 1)

Are you ready to begin exploring the pathway to camp leadership in a day camp setting? This opportunity is for you! Topics covered in training include introduction to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, age and social characteristics of younger campers, and essential skills needed to be a great counselor — including fire safety and how to lead songs and games. You have the option to stay for the overnight in your own unit and receive ongoing supervision and leadership guidance from the OGL Director. This opportunity is open to participants currently in grades 8-11 and you will work toward your CIT pin.

If you want to continue having fun with your counselors and friends by staying overnight at camp, sign up for this optional Thursday overnight at Camp Butterworth! Girls will cook supper, participate in a special all camp activity, and end with a traditional campfire. When bedtime finally hits, younger girls will stay overnight in a building while older girls will stay outdoors in a tent unit. Breakfast is provided in the morning. This opportunity helps prepare girls for Overnight Camp or Troop Adventure Camp!

Animal Tails and Trails (Week 2)

Little fishes, swim this way – come to camp for all things water this week! Play games, make ocean themed snacks and crafts, and spend some extra time in the pool. This week when campers aren’t immersed in all things water, they’ll take some time to on their Eco Learner Badge by hiking, building a fire, and helping to improve spaces around camp!

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) II (Week 2)
Currently in grades 10 – 11
10 days | $250 | June 15 – 26
This two-week opportunity is for the aspiring camp counselor. CIT II participants will spend days in their own unit and receive ongoing supervision and leadership guidance from the OGL Director while learning the skills needed to be an outstanding camp counselor. CIT II‘s will experience the challenges and rewards of working with younger girls through training that includes application of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, exploring the various leadership styles, learning positive behavior techniques, age and social characteristics, and day camp skills. Participants will have an opportunity to observe unit and program staff, evaluate experiences, and receive guidance from the OGL Director as they assist in units, building up to spending an entire day with their assigned unit. Prerequisite: CIT I. Girls will earn their CIT II pin. Girls will go home each night and on the weekend between their two weeks.

Camp Your Way: Lifeguard Edition (Week 6)
Currently in grades 9 – 11

Work with your group to choose your own adventure this week while working around a Shallow Lifeguard Training schedule. Campers who sign up for this session will spend the week going through the Shallow Water Lifeguard training and have a certification by the end of the week. In the times between training, talk with your group and decide what you want to do in your downtime. Campers must be 15 years of age by the time this session begins and pass the course pre-requisite to participate in the training.

Prepare to become a true tribute! This week, you’ll work on earning your Archery Badge while training for survival, just like in the arena. Camp Your Way: Adventure Edition (Week 7)
Currently in grades 5 – 7

Work with your group to choose your own adventures this week. Throw some hatchets or hike to the creek, spend the day in a hammock or build your own shelter, your time at camp is yours to choose. It’s up to you and your group to decide – there are so many possibilities! Create your camp experience based on what you choose to do! Plus, you and your group will get to head off camp one day and join in a BB Riverboats cruise in Cincinnati!

Program Assistant (Week 7)
Currently in grades 6 – 7

If you have completed Program Aide Training and would like to spend the week at day camp developing your leadership, team building, and programming skills, then this is a great opportunity for you! Work with camp staff to implement programs such as badge work, crafts, nature hikes, songs, and more. PAs need to be dropped off and picked up each day.

Teddy Bear Hospital (Week 6)

Bring your favorite stuffed friend—or create a brand-new one—at Teddy Bear Hospital! Campers will “admit” their own teddy bear and bring it to life by stuffing, assembling, and caring for their patient. Girls will design and create clothes for their bear while learning the basics of hand sewing and fabric crafts in a fun, beginner-friendly way. Along the way, they’ll practice patience, creativity, and problem-solving as they stitch, decorate, and personalize their furry friend. Campers will work towards the Create & Innovate badge.

Calling all storytellers and illustrators! During this week-long day camp, girls will dive into the world of comics as they work toward earning their Comic Artist badge while also completing activities for their Outdoor Art badge. Campers will create their own original characters, develop storylines, and learn how to turn ideas into comic panels and strips. Inspiration will come from the outdoors as girls explore nature, sketch outside, and use natural elements to spark creativity. By the end of the week, each camper will have a completed comic and new artistic skills—plus plenty of imagination to take home.

Prepare to launch into a week of discovery, experimentation, and high-flying fun! In this session, Girl Scouts will work toward earning their Space Science Investigator badge through hands-on “alien experiments” inspired by real space science. Campers will study stars, planets, and galaxies, learn how telescopes help scientists explore space, and investigate what makes a planet capable of supporting life. Girls will design and carry out experiments that model space conditions and practice thinking like scientists as they ask questions, test ideas, and share discoveries.

Step into the role of a detective during CSI Investigation, where Cadettes will work toward earning their Special Agent badge. Campers will learn how investigators solve cases by analyzing clues, observing details, and using critical thinking skills. Girls will practice basic forensic techniques, decode messages, examine evidence, and work together to solve a mock case from start to finish. Through hands-on activities and team challenges, campers will think like special agents as they gather facts, test theories, and crack the case.

At Little Makers Studio, Daisies will explore creativity through hands-on maker projects. Girls will paint with different tools, build creations using recycled materials, design simple inventions, and create wearable art. Lights, camera, action! Brownies will dive into the world of movies during Movie Magic, a creative and hands-on session full of fun. Campers will make popcorn with tasty sweet and savory flavors, create classic movie snacks like candy treats, and learn the basics of storytelling. Working together, girls will plan, act in, and record their own short film, with everyone playing a part. The session ends with a special movie showing to celebrate their creativity and teamwork.

Do you love summer camp and want to empower girls? This summer, we are looking for volunteers to help with everything big and small. You can volunteer at camp no matter your time commitment!
- Be a unit counselor for a week at day camp
- “Adopt” international staff for the Fourth of July weekend
- Ride the bus on pick up/drop off days at overnight camp
- Be a camp nurse for a week, the summer, or on-call to answer questions
- Make a home-cooked meal for out-of-town staff
