Camp Like a Girl Scout
Experience all the fun of camp during the day, and return home each evening. Have too much fun and don’t want to leave? Stay for the optional overnight offered on Thursday nights each week.
Day camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with morning drop off from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and evening pick up from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Nature Navigators (Week 1)

Adventure awaits! Campers will complete the Trail Adventure badge while exploring the different trails at camp. You'll draw pictures of your adventures, learn awesome hiking games, practice your belly breathing skills, and discover how to stretch your muscles!

Whimsical Wilderness (Week 1)

Ready for a spark-tacular week? It seems fairies AND unicorns have taken over camp! Come along and use your senses by putting your nose to work, listening to the world around you, and taking part in a fairy-themed taste test! Campers will complete the Senses badge while also enjoying the pool, creeking, hiking, and participating in lots of fairy and unicorn-themed fun!

Flying Geckos (Week 1)
Currently in grades 4 - 5

We're not lion, this is the best week ever! Discover new things about wild animals, make a habitat collage, and construct your very own animal house. Campers will work toward the Animal Habitats badge while also enjoying the pool, hiking the trails, and trying your hand at the archery range.

Forest to Frame (Week 1)

Let’s chalk about camp this week! Your group will get to choose many of your activities throughout the week — note how things change outdoor from day to day, make nature art out of clay, write a poem or rap about nature, and become a nature photographer! Campers will work toward the Outdoor Art Apprentice badge while also enjoying classic camp activities.

Optional Thursday Overnight (Week 1)

If you want to continue having fun with your counselors and friends by staying overnight at camp, sign up for this optional Thursday overnight at Camp Butterworth! Girls will cook supper, participate in a special all camp activity, and end with a traditional campfire. When bedtime finally hits, younger girls will stay overnight in a building while older girls will stay outdoors in a tent unit. Breakfast is provided in the morning. This opportunity helps prepare girls for overnight or Troop Adventure Camp!

Program Assistant (Week 1)

If you have completed Program Aide Training and would like to spend the week at day camp developing your leadership, team building, and programming skills, then this is a great opportunity for you! Counselor-in-Training (CIT) I (Week 1)
Currently in grades 6 - 8

Are you ready to begin exploring the pathway to camp leadership in a day camp setting? This opportunity is for you! Topics covered in training include introduction to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, age and social characteristics of younger campers, and essential skills needed to be a great counselor — including fire safety and how to lead songs and games. You have the option to stay for the overnight in your own unit and receive ongoing supervision and leadership guidance from the Program Director. This opportunity is open to participants currently in grades 8-11 and you will work toward your CIT pin.

Panda-monium Playground (Week 2)

Who's ready for a koala-ty week of camp, all about animals? Daisies will complete the Animal Observer badge while enjoying the pool, hiking, trying slingshots, and having an abundance of animal-themed fun with friends!

Time to join a league of your own — it's sports week! Create your own version of hide-and-seek, play octopus tag, keep score, and have a relay. Campers will work toward the Fair Play badge while powering through all things sports with new friends.

Apple Anemones (Week 2)

Thistle be a beautiful week at camp! Soak up all things water this week while working toward the Flowers badge. Campers will have a water relay, explore the world of flowers, and try out some fun new pool games with their fellow Junior campers!

WindSeeker Wilderness (Week 2)

Adventure is here — ready to join? This week, Cadettes will test their endurance in target sports while completing the Archery badge. Don’t worry, you’ll have the chance for other camp activities, too! On Thursday, the whole group will head over to Kings Island for a day of coasters and thrills!
*Cadettes who sign-up for this session will be staying overnight at Camp Butterworth on Thursday night. The cost of registration includes Thursday Overnight and ticket to Kings Island.

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) II (Week 2)
Currently in grades 9 - 11
12 days | $200 | June 16 - 27
This two-week opportunity is for the aspiring camp counselor. CIT II participants will spend days in their own unit and receive ongoing supervision and leadership guidance from the OGL Director while learning the skills needed to be an outstanding camp counselor. CIT II‘s will experience the challenges and rewards of working with younger girls through training that includes application of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, exploring the various leadership styles, learning positive behavior techniques, age and social characteristics, and day camp skills. Participants will have an opportunity to observe unit and program staff, evaluate experiences, and receive guidance from the OGL Director as they assist in units, building up to spending an entire day with their assigned unit. Prerequisite: CIT I. Girls will earn their CIT II pin. Girls will go home each night and on the weekend between their two weeks.

Gnomes & Goblins (Week 3)

Gourd vibes only — Summerween is here! Join us for a week of Halloween-themed fun with games, crafts, hikes and swimming. Campers with complete the Make the World a Better Place petal and take part in a camp-wide trick-or-treat at the end of the week!

Times for skele-tons of fun — it's Summerween! This week, you'll find art ideas outdoors, make something to share, create a wind chime, and build an elf house, all with a Halloween twist. Campers will complete the Outdoor Art Creator badge while enjoying the pool, hiking, and joining in on a camp-wide trick-or-treat at the end of the week!

Spooky Sleuths (Week 3)
Currently in grades 4 - 5

Creep it cool... Summerween has come to camp! This week, you'll practice your observation skills, learn some classic codes, study different fingerprints, find evidence, and discover clues "on the scene" to help solve a mystery with a Halloween twist. Campers will work toward the Detective Badge amid hiking, swimming, and more. Plus, join in on a camp-wide trick-or-treat at the end of the week!

Ghoulish Gauntlet (Week 3)

Stay cool, ghoul. Join us for some Summerween fun! This week, work on your Field Day badge by teaming up and dressing up, having an amazing race, creating flying objects, and participating in a relay — all with a Halloween twist! There will also be plenty of hiking, swimming, target sports, and more, plus a camp-wide trick-or-treat at the end of the week.

Hey, hey, Daisies! This week is all about being a sister to every Girl Scout. You'll create a mural about girls around the world with your Daisy friends and get together with older Girl Scouts to show them something you like to do. Plus, take part in awesome crafts, nature activities, and pool time to complete this fun-filled week at camp! Campers will work toward the Be a Sister to Every Girl Scout petal.

Badge Builders (Week 4)

This week is all about Brownie traditions! Learn new a new song that gets you moving, throw a birthday bash, share sisterhood within your group, and follow in a Girl Scout’s footsteps. Campers will work toward the Girl Scout Way badge.

You're shore to love this week at day camp — it's all about water! Campers will play wildlife games, make a nature circle, create a trash tale, and more, all with a water-themed twist. Plus, enjoy an abundance of water games, creeking, and hiking around camp. Campers will complete the Eco Learner Badge.

Bug-tastic Times! (Week 5)

"Bee" sure to buzz into bug week! You'll get to talk to a bug expert, learn a bug craft, see bugs in action, draw a cocoon, and go on a bug hike. Campers will work toward the Bug Badge while also exploring the pool and climbing wall.

Earth and Easel (Week 5)

Have fun in the sun while exploring different forms of art! Make art inspired by wildlife, create your own galaxy t-shirt, become part of a nature symphony, and design your very own terrarium. Campers will work toward the Outdoor Art Explorer Badge.

Stardust, sparkles, and rainbows, oh my! It's unicorn week at camp, so come along and learn what it means to be honest and fair in true unicorn fashion. Play games with your camp friends, act out a story, and have unicorn-themed snacks throughout the week. Campers will complete the Honest and Fair Petal while also enjoying classic camp activities, like hiking, swimming, and creeking.

This week is all about animals! Come to camp and play pet bingo, try different animal crafts, and learn about different types of animals. Campers will work toward the Pets Badge while also enjoying the pool, hiking to the creek, and trying out the climbing wall.

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling... like it's Taylor Swift week! Spend the week working on your Musician Badge with activities based around Girl Scout alum Taylor Swift. Listen to her music, make some of her favorite snacks, and dress up as one of her eras for a day. Campers will also enjoy time in the pool, archery, and hiking around camp!

If you love all things water, then this is the week for you! Campers will spend the week playing water games, hanging out in the pool, having a scavenger hunt, and creating a game of your own. Brownies will work toward the Making Games Badge while also participating in classic camp activities, like hiking, creeking, and trying out the climbing wall.

All-Star Athletes (Week 7)
Currently in grades 4 - 5

This week is all about all-stars, so come ready to play! Play multiple different sports throughout the week with your group and even invent your own — all in the name of friendly competition. Campers will also learn all about first-aid by making posters, building your own first-aid kit, and learning how to help someone who may be feeling sick. Juniors will work toward the First-Aid Badge while enjoying all things sports with a splash of classic camp activities.

Swiftie Scouts (Week 7)

Embrace your inner Taylor Swift this week while also exploring the science of happiness! Spend some time each day quietly journaling, focusing on your strengths, making meaningful art, and creating your own happiness action plan. Campers will work toward the Science of Happiness Badge while celebrating all things Taylor by listening to her music, making some of her go-to snacks, and discovering why others in the group might look up to her!

Eco-Adventurers (Week 8)

It's time to explore nature and all that it has to offer! This week, you'll hike around camp, observe the space around you, learn all about fire safety, and help improve a spot around camp. Campers will spend the week completing the Eco Friend Badge while also enjoying the pool, arts & crafts, and the climbing wall!

Dessert Decoders (Week 8)

Do you have what it takes to be the Chopped Champion? Spend the week in small groups competing against fellow campers in a Chopped- style showdown with a Camp Butterworth twist! Campers will work toward the Simple Meals Badge.

Mission: Possible (Week 8)
Currently in grades 6 - 8
5 days | $195 | July 28 - Aug 1
Interested in fields like crime solving and forensics? This session is for you! Come to camp and explore chromatography, learn about interpreting blood spatter, find out about “tells” and much more! Campers will complete the Special Agent Badge and use your new skills to help solve a mystery by the end of the week.

Once you have registered and paid at least the $75 deposit, you can request Financial Assistance.
Complete the waitlist form for day camp if your preferred session is full. This will automatically put you on the list to be notified if spaces open up for your preferred session.
Do you love summer camp and want to empower girls? This summer, we are looking for volunteers to help with everything big and small. You can volunteer at camp no matter your time commitment!
