Mission: Kindness (Week 5)

Your Mission: spread as much joy as possible during your week at camp! Delight as you and your fellow campers plan secret surprises. Will you charm the Girl Scout Brownies with an unexpected Tea Party? Amuse the camp with a flash mob? Plan a special midnight snack? In between missions, take a break and do your favorite camp activities like archery, creek stomping, and swimming. Campers will work toward the Science of Happiness badge.

Off the Grid (Week 5)

Spend your week at camp roughin' it - try shelter building, practice your aim throwing hatchets and knives, and cook some of your meals over a fire. Then, top it off with a backpacking adventure through the trails of camp, where you'll stay overnight on the trail. You'll also have plenty of time for classic camp activities like swimming and archery.

Be prepared for non-stop adventure! Sleep under the stars, cook a meal over the fire, and climb as high as you dare on the High Challenge course. Vocational Visionaries (Week 5)

In this camp, you will experience a variety of sessions that will help develop practical, real-world skills in order to become independent young women! Learn basic vehicle maintenance, planning and preparing healthy meals, managing a budget, learning how to balance work/school life and personal life, and resume writing. Begin your career exploration by looking at different career options, learning from guest speakers in different career paths, and working on business etiquette. Campers will work towards the Car Care and Business Etiquette badges.

Embark on the ultimate American summer pastime—a week-long road trip! Create a playlist, pack up the camp van, and prepare to explore the Loneliest Road, US- 50. The best part? Spend Sunday night finding all the best places to go; stopping at sites in Lousiville, KY, St. Louis, MO, and maybe checking out Indianapolis, IN, on your way back! The choices are endless and completely up to you. Girls will work toward the Ultimate Recreation Challenge or Traveler badge.

Realms & Rucksacks (Week 6)

Join us for this themed backpacking adventure. Explore the backtrails of Camp Whip Poor Will, make adventuring snacks, learn about "high fantasy" games and stories, find your inner warrior (or rogue, healer, etc.), craft your own hobbit door, read runes, and more. Campers will participate in a 24-hour backpacking trip, rain or shine. Girls may bring their own backpacking pack, and/or any camp-appropriate role-playing attire. Campers will work on the Trail Adventure badge.

Cliff Hangers: Red River Gorge (Week 6)

You've climbed the wall. You've conquered the high ropes course. Now it's time to try the real thing! Head down to the Red River Gorge, where you will meet with certified climbing guides and spend a day learning your knots, how to belay, and how to climb on real rocks. Then spend a second day in a harness learning how to repel. You'll still have plenty of time to hike and check out all that Red River Gorge has to offer. Girls will work toward the Adventurer or Ultimate Recreation Challenge badges.

Work with your group to choose your adventures this week. You could tackle the high ropes course, spend a night sleeping in hammocks or under the stars, go for a night swim, shoot archery, throw hatchets, and more! Become a true voyager by spending your week on the water. Perfect your paddling skills in a canoe, kayak, or both! Work with a team to build your own raft and race against your fellow Voyagers. Then head to the Little Miami River and put your skills to the test. Spend the night camped along the river listening to the water while watching the stars. You'll also swim, cook a meal over the fire, and more.

Haunted Happenings (Week 7)

Learn the ins and outs of Ghost hunting from real paranormal investigators. You’ll learn about equipment and the best way to conduct an investigation. Then hit the road and visit some famous haunted locations for late-night investigations. Learn the legends and tales associated with the haunts, and maybe with some luck, you’ll spot something yourself! Before the week ends, you’ll conduct your own paranormal investigation!

Insta-Ventures (Week 8)

If you didn't take pictures, did it even happen? Join us in creating a session to remember by planning activities that are truly insta-worthy. Capture a stunning sunset on Four Winds Lake, the perfect bullseye at the archery range, the never-ending battle between the 'golden brown' and the 'burnt' s'mores, or the picturesque view from your tent, or hammock! Have the opportunity to capture the treetops from the high ropes course, or take a group picture with your new friends at the singing porch. Also, discuss appropriate 'netiquette' with your group, and break down the importance of being kind. Campers can bring their own instaprint camera, or share one with a buddy that camp provides! Campers will earn the Netiquette badge.

Smoky Mountain Stewards (Week 8)
Currently in grades 8 - 11

Take action this summer and earn the Girl Scout Ranger Patch at the Great Smokey Mountains. To earn the patch, girls will perform 10 hours of community service assisting rangers. Work projects will focus on preservation, conservation, and protection of the park and the nearby ecosystems. Girl Scouts will work alongside Great Smokey Mountain National Park staff, performing service projects that will include removing litter from the trails. Girls will enjoy camping in Tennessee where you will visit some of the most iconic sites the Smokies have to offer. At the end of your adventure, you’ll head back to Camp Whip Poor Will for final campfire on Thursday. Girls will earn the Girl Scout Ranger Patch and work toward the Ultimate Recreation Challenge, Adventurer, or Trailblazing badge.
