In order to reserve a council property at least one troop leader or troop assistant must have the appropriate training:

Council Offices:

• less than 3 hours as your normal troop meeting - no additional training required
• less than 3 hours not your normal troop meeting location - Troop Trip Training

Camps:

• Lodge less than 3 hour troop meeting -Lodge Camp Training
• Lodge Overnights - Lodge Camp Training
• Tents/ Outside  Units - Troop Camp Training

TRIP TROOP TRAINING

is a module in GSLearn and is the prerequisite for Lodge Camp Training. You can access the training here.

LODGE CAMP TRAINING

Required at least one troop leader or assistant before reservation of council lodge or other indoor camp facilities.

PREREQUISITE: Troop Trip Training

Designed to prepare volunteers who work with young or inexperienced Girl Scouts to lead them on their first overnight camping experience in a lodge.

There are three options for completing Lodge Camp Training

TROOP CAMP TRAINING

Required for at least one troop leader or troop assistant before reservation of a council tent or other outdoor camping unit.

PREREQUISITE: Troop Trip Training and Lodge Camp Training

Participants plan, implement, and evaluate a camping trip with girls and understand the safety standards and guidelines for camping and related outdoor activities. Develop skills to be used and taught to girls, ensuring a positive, fun. and safe outdoor experience.
