Work at Camp

No adventure is complete without exploring the outdoors. Join us as we take you through the trails of our camps—with a twist! Each hike we’ll share some activities you can do on your own, wherever you are.

Leaf Hike Expand

Hike Turtle Ridge trail as we identify trees and plants using leaves and do a few activities along the way.

Photo Hike Expand

If you love to hike and are also into photography, come with us on this photo hike! We'll talk about taking your good pictures and making them great by following a few tried and true techniques and tips.

Pirate Scavenger Hunt Expand

This hike through Camp Whip Poor Will's main trail helps you learn some trail signs and put your pirate skills to the test on a scavenger hunt to see how many pirate-y items you can find!

Contour Hike Expand

Have you ever tried to draw a map of your neighborhood or nearby park so someone else could follow it to a destination (or buried treasure)? If so, how did you draw in the hills and valleys? Not that easy! On this hike, we'll talk about contour and how that could make your hiking a lot easier.

Survival Hike Expand

On this hike, we'll get you to start thinking about basic survival skills. How do you find a water source? Where do you get food? What do you do if the weather changes? These simple skills could someday be a life saver!

Camouflage Hike Expand

Learn about different animals and how they use camouflage to help them stay safe! Once you know some concepts, then learn about what activities you could do outdoors with your friends and family! If you were an animal, how would you "become invisible?"

Superhero Hike Expand

When it comes to being a superhero, staying fit is very important! Join us as we go through some different activities and exercises on our hike that help us stay our best superhero selves!

Superhero Ethics Hike Expand

Part of being a hero is taking care of yourself so you can take care of others. On this hike we're going to get moving a little differently than usual and try some new moves!

Paint with Nature Hike Expand

Get ready to join Luna on a short hike as she gathers pieces of nature and then shows you how to paint with them! Make sure you are ready with some spare paper and paint!

Art Hike Expand

Join Yakker on a hike to find natural art materials. Once you've collected your art supplies, you'll head back and create an artistic masterpiece from your found items!

Minibeast Hike Expand

There's lots of little creatures living all around us and it's time to get a close up. Go on your own minibeast hunt to see what you can find!

Storytelling & Fairy House Hike Expand

Have you ever wondered what a fairy house might look like? Or how you can find one? Join Yakker and Duckie as they read a story and go searching for a fairy house in the woods of Camp Woodhaven!

Pond Hike Expand

Join Ember at the Woodhaven pond as she shows us different aspects of pond life.

Creatures Creek Stomp Expand

Join Ember as she shows us different types of creatures you can find in our camp creek!

Fossils Creek Stomp Expand

Fossil hunting is always an adventure, and our creeks are full of them! Ember will show us some different kinds you can find and tell us how they came to be.

Solar System Walk Expand

Our Solar System is huge. There is a lot of space in between planets--millions of miles! Here's a great way to visually see how far each planet is from the sun using a roll of toilet paper and some random objects!

Solar System Hike Expand

The Sun is the center of our Solar System. Have you ever wondered how big the planets are that revolve around it? Or how far away the planets are from the Sun? Join us for this Solar System Hike and find out how big and far away the planets are on a smaller scale.
