Arrrrrrgh! Join a cast of pirates for a week full of treasures as you Adventure Where You Are! Come explore Camp Whip Poor Will where you’ll learn all about knots and lashing, use contour lines to navigate on a hike, abide by the rules of the seven seas (okay, the camp pond), do some hearty cookouts and piratey crafts! Ahoy matey – we’ll be watching for you!
Along the way, you’ll see some familiar faces, hear some of your favorite camp songs and join us in laughter and fun. It’s your summer, so camp like a Girl Scout!
The first sessions for each topic are recommended for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors (grades K-5) and the second sessions are recommended for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (grades 6-12), but all are welcome for each session!
Join us as we go through different tiers of outdoor living skills for all ages. Follow along while you watch the video and then give it a try!
We're going to "rope" you into tying several knots with us! Follow along and see how many you can remember. Like any skill, practice makes perfect!
Practice your clove hitch and take your outdoor skills to the next level as you learn how to lash. You'll try square, shear, tripod, and diagonal lashing.
Tune in for our art programming. These were live sessions with our camp staff where they showed you the arts of camp!
Bring your ties and your dyes and join us this afternoon to learn the classic camp tie dye patterns!
Tie Dye is a camp tradition and you probably already know the swirls and the bulleyes. So come and join as we show more advanced patterns!
No adventure is complete without exploring the outdoors. Join us as we take you through the trails of our camps—with a twist! Each hike we’ll share some activities you can do on your own, wherever you are.
This hike through Camp Whip Poor Will's main trail helps you learn some trail signs and put your pirate skills to the test on a scavenger hunt to see how many pirate-y items you can find!
Have you ever tried to draw a map of your neighborhood or nearby park so someone else could follow it to a destination (or buried treasure)? If so, how did you draw in the hills and valleys? Not that easy! On this hike, we'll talk about contour and how that could make your hiking a lot easier.
Grab your ingredients and gather round the campfire (or kitchen) for a play by play of how to make some delicious campfire meals and sweet treats.
Looking for something new to cook for breakfast? Try this tasty casserole dish that uses Everything Bagels! Just the right amount of seasonings, eggs, cheese and a few other items creates the perfect meal to start your day! End your day with a delicious banana boat.
Here's an easy way to make shish kabobs over a campfire or grill. Grab your favorite items and be creative as you arrange them on your stick! Then, try out this really interesting and gooey dessert - pineapple cobbler. This is also cooked/toasted over the fire on a stick!
Join our experts in the field of STEM! While most people are encouraged not to try things in their living rooms, you’ll be able to challenge yourself to some pretty awesome science and engineering projects.
Get ready to have some fun learning about capillary action while watching a colorful rainbow form right before your eyes. You’ll be amazed how three colors can mix using science to create a wonderful rainbow to brighten your day. Come join use for a fun afternoon of learning!

It's the ultimate quarantine activity! Try out several of our puzzles featuring different scenes from Camp Whip Poor Will.
